This medal was created on the same day as the War Cross. Its obverse reads "Za Chrabrost" (for gallantry) whereas on the reverse the text reads "Pravda / Vitezi / 1939" (Truth prevails 1939). vr=#3>

The medal was awarded for merit, without active engagement in action with the enemy, in connection with the liberation of the country.
